Herland Voice
Our newsletter, Herland VOICE, is a monthly resource for news and upcoming events of interest to the women's community. Published for over 22 years, the hardcopy version of the VOICE circulates to over 1,000 readers. Local concerns and writers are featured, but we also try to keep our readers up-to-date with national news as well.
There are now three ways for you to keep up with everything that's going on in our community:
- On the Web:You can read the VOICE in your browser online.. Check out the March 2006 issue. We also have an online calendar of events.
- E-Mail/PDF:The VOICE is available as a PDF document , which is a format you can read offline or print out for reference through the month. You can choose to have this sent to you by email (using the form below), or you can always find the current issue at here, if you want to bookmark it.
- In your mailbox:You can subscribe to get a printed version of the VOICE by good, old-fashioned snail mail. We do send it out without charge by request, but a donation is appreciated to cover printing and postage. The suggested contribution is $12/year.
Contribute to the Voice
The Voice is offered as a public forum for community discourse. We welcome contributions of articles, editorials, letters and other content. These must be signed by the author with full name and address. Upon request, we will print it anonymously or under a pseudonym.
We also publish creative expression like poetry and art.
We reserve the right to reject submissions we determine to be inappropriate or offensive.
Mail hardcopies to us at 2312 NW 39th, Oklahoma City, OK 73112.
Herland Voice Archive
(These are in printable/PDF format -- for online archives, click here.)
Links for each month of the yearly archive are created in advance, but they will only work once an issue has been created and uploaded to the site.
The email edition of Herland VOICE is in a format called PDF, which opens with Adobe's free cross-platform document-sharing software, Acrobat. You probably already have this on your computer, in which case you don't need to do anything. If you don't have it (or need to upgrade), you can download it.
