    ~ Our Community & Friends ~

Herland is part of an active GLBT and feminist community in the Oklahoma City metro area.

We are a member of a number of coalitions that serve our community, including the Oklahoma Gay and Lesbian Political Caucus, the Oklahoma Freedom and Equality Coalition, and Pride Network.. For the past two years we have participated in the State of Our Community forum. We join with many organizations each summer to celebrate Gay Pride events, including our own annual picnic.

We also count as our friends many feminist and progressive and gay-friendly organizations, whose work we support. These include: YWCA, P-FLAG, Church of the Open Arms, and the National Organization for Women.

Our building serves as the meetingplace of several groups, including Womyn of Color and Native American Women.

We have also reached out with our message at local events such as the Fall Peace Festival and OutOK Film Festival.

For over 20 years, Herland has been an integral part of the OKC community and we look forward to many future opportunities to work with and support the community we love.
