herland hike

Our urban hike continues.  In April, we toured Bricktown; this month we will see the Stockyards and the River Trail.  Meet at the Trolley Stop in front of Bass Pro at 9:40 am.  (Parking is available in the free lot south of Bass Pro and next to the Land Rush Statues.)  The Orange Line trolley will leave at 10:04 am from in front of Bass Pro.  Cost is one dollar.
At 10:20 am we arrive at Stockyards City (Agnew and SW 12th).  We will spend a few minutes exploring Stockyards storefronts, and then we have a four-mile walk along the Oklahoma River Trail to the Chesapeake Boat House at Regatta Park.  Then it is less than a half-mile back to Bass Pro, the Land Rush Statues, and our parked vehicles. We will finish around 12:30 on the edge of Bricktown.  Anyone who wants to stay and hang out or eat in Bricktown can do so.
For those who want to share in the experience but not walk four miles, you are invited to meet the group at 10:20 am at Stockyards City (Agnew and SW 12th) walking as long as you are comfortable, and turning back when you choose.  This is a pleasant area including some wetlands.  For more info, call Ginger at 942-1535.
