Womyn of Color announces the release of their 2005 calendar, the Calendar of Color. All proceeds from sale of the calendars will benefit Diversity House.

A non-profit organization that is raising funds to purchase a property, Diversity House aims to provide housing for homeless gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender youth between the ages of 18 and 25 in Oklahoma City. There is an increasing problem of glbt youth in OKC that have been put out of their homes because of their sexual orientation. With few resources and little education and life experience, they sometimes end up on the street. Diversity House’s mission is to be a safe haven for them. The money raised
will be used to help give them a chance to get back on their feet and become productive citizens. Funds will be used to purchase a house, provide transportation, food and clothes as needed.
