Description: The National Women’s Music Festival, otherwise known as NWMF, will be held indoors at the Marriott Madison West just outside Madison, WI.There are no rained–out concerts, no cold showers, and no porta–janes at this Festival.
The Festival is a four–day musical and cultural extravaganza that incorporates all facets of womens lives.Its a jam–packed long weekend where choices for things to do range from workshops, concerts, comedy, theatre presentations, a marketplace, newly released films and videos, a live auction, spirituality series, writers series, animal lovers series, and much, much more!

World Outgames
Serious sport, serious culture and totally serious fun!
You’ll find it all at the 2nd World Outgames in Copenhagen, Denmark, from 25 July to 2 August 2009.
There will be tournaments in 38 different sports disciplines, from aerobics to wrestling, for competitors at all skills levels.
In addition, there will be a wide variety of cultural events including performances, exhibitions and parties to inspire, provoke and make you dance like crazy.
World Outgames 2009 will also feature a human rights conference addressing issues and concerns of the LGBT community and all others for whom love of freedom and freedom to love is self–evident.

Cynthia Nixon Announces Engagement
Cynthia Nixon is engaged to her partner, Christine Marinoni!
Charlotte Burke, a representative for the “Sex in the City” actress, confirmed the engagement. No other details were given.
Nixon, 43, showed off an engagement ring at an Action–Equals–Marriage Equality rally in midtown New York City on May 17.

NOW Elects New Leader
The National Organization for Women has elected Terry O’Neill, a 56 year old Maryland resident as their next president.
In a close win over a rival who had been endorsed by the group’s current president, she defeated Latifa Lyles, of Washington, D.C.
San Francisco Hosts LGBT Leadership Conference
The 25th International Gay & Lesbian Leadership Conference will bring together hundreds of openly LGBT leaders involved in business, government, politics, advocacy and community organizations.
The conference will take place in San Francisco, December 3 to 6, with sessions on skills building networking and discussion of key issues facing out leaders.
The sessions are set in a relaxed atmosphere, encouraging attendees to connect and stay connected with their peers around the world.
